Stationery

The animation I chose to watch was called Stationery. This great animation was directed by Monica Rho. It was over four minutes long, five minutes and twenty seconds, but it was worth the watch. The animation was about a girl who needed to get paperclips. She needed the paperclips to hand in an assignment that her boss assigned her to do. She was not allowed to use staples for an unknown reason. So the main character ends up spending her whole day trying to get paperclips. When she finally gets her paperclips she realizes that someone else, who was doing the same assignment, had used staples to hand in their assignment. This animation was quite intresting to watch for a large number of reasons, well one but it was shown several times. It had great transitions between scenes and it really made me think of how long it took them to do these transitions. I think this animation is worth watching only because of the transitions. Don't get me wrong, I like the story and all, but I prefer the transitions. I'm not sure what happen at the end of this animation but it has something to do with her plant? They lost me at that part. They could have just ended the story with the girl going to bed. It's just a personal opinion. I'm just hoping I did not miss out on some important message by not understanding why they ended the animation by looking at the plant. Overall I give this animation seven staples out of twelve.
